WARNER MUSIC
Product Manager
Brief
I led a product discovery phase for a new responsive web application visualizing music revenue data for two audiences: independent music label clients and ADA, Atlantic, and Rhino Record label management staff.
Objectives
To build an automated backend system to replace manual workflows across 4 separate label divisions, each with unique use cases
To provide music label clients with interactive data dashboards, providing far more detail and customization than paper statements
To merge data from multiple, disparate streams
To design a highly flexible rules logic with customizable exceptions
Deliverables
Stakeholder Interviews: define workflows, data sets, use cases, and exceptions
Feasibility Tests: collaborated with engineering to locate data sources, analyze data samples, document entity relationships, and identify gaps in data interoperability
Backend Applications Research: documented functionality and user journeys for existing onboarding, login, and legacy revenue and royalties reporting systems
User Journey Maps: mapped back office processes for data ingestion, statement creation, and revenue validation; highlighted and prioritized pain points with stakeholders
Product Roadmap: partnered with engineering to identify key milestones, rollout, budget, and resource availability
Wireframes: produced high fidelity wireframes showing data visualization options for label-facing web application
