Product Strategist, Civic Hall Labs
Brief
I worked as part of Civic Hall Labs’ pro bono product team partnered with Sage, the US’s largest and oldest nonprofit dedicated to LGBT older adults.
Objectives
To kickstart a responsive redesign of Sage's website
To evaluate site content and propose a new navigation and taxonomy
To hand-off content and design deliverables to a digital agency to build
To prepare for high site traffic leading up to the Stonewall 40th anniversary
To drive donations and volunteer sign-ups
Deliverables
Analytics Audit: how users found Sage’s site and what they searched for
Content Audit: classified top 100 pages by topic, site traffic, and Sage priority
User Personas: defined core user groups, their needs, and how these mapped to Sage’s goals for user engagement
Heuristic Analysis: created best practices documentation for content and UX strategy and proposed solutions to existing site navigation challenges
New Information Architecture: created a sitemap with proposed changes
Vendor Selection: assisted with interviewing and digital agency selection
