MY ROLE: Web Designer
CLIENT: The Center for Children & Technology
The Center for Children & Technology was founded as a research division of the Bank Street School of Education.
CCT hired me to build a mini site to showcase the results of their evaluation of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting's Ready to Learn initiative. This mini site showcased the positive impact of CPB's high quality educational media on child literacy. When used in supportive classroom settings, CCT found CPB's media and classroom technology practices improved child literacy, particularly in the case of children from low income households.
I created a site map, wireframes, and design comps before coding the Ready to Learn site.
Video was a key component of the CCT site. I pulled video stills and compressed video clips for web and mobile devices.
